Tokyo University Acceptance testimonial

Let’s share a testimonial of Jeong, a student of Tokyo Galaxy Language School who got accepted to Faculty of Medicine of University of Tokyo. She is an accomplished young lady who also got accepted to Chiba University, Tokyo Institute of Technology and Nagoya University.

University of Tokyo is the best university in Japan where is really difficult to get into. We are proud that one of our students got an admission. Our teachers and teaching staffs are encouraging the student with high praise.
Jeong started studying in Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School’s special preparatory class from April last year. According to school’s guidance, she improved her Japanese to the highest level and prepared for essay and interview.

1. Congratulations on being admitted to university in Japan. We would like to know how you’ve been studying to get into university.
In case of University of Tokyo, the entrance exam only focuses on essay and interview so I practiced a lot on writing essays. I also concentrated on studying for EJU as well. I took TOEFL before coming to Japan.

2. What is the key to getting into university of your choice?
The key is not to get discouraged or frustrated, no matter what.

3. Which classes from Tokyo Galaxy that helped you the most in getting into university?
Interview Preparation and Essay Class really helped me a lot. I was able to take essay and interview test without being scrambled. I extend my gratitude to teachers.

4. Who is the teacher that you feel grateful the most?
I would like to thank all the teachers of Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School during my study abroad in Japan. I owe them so much. I also like to thank again to all the teaching staffs who made it possible for me to get into University of Tokyo.

5. Please give us your thoughts about Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School.
Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School is a school, with kind and friendly teachers and teaching staffs, where supports students in all needs.

6. What message would you like to give to students who consider studying in university in Japan?
Besides studying, you have to bear in mind that you may also go through difficulty in living in Japan. However I hope you to set a specific goal and not to give up no matter what.

7. What would you like to achieve during your 4 years of university life? We want to hear your aspiration.
I would like to go to graduate school in Japan in future, so I will study mitochondria hard. And while in university in Japan, I want to study French and German besides Japanese and English.

Today, we will introduce a restaurant that serves Japanese traditional cuisine.
The name of the restaurant is ‘Nihonbashi Dashi bar Hanare’ at Coredo Muromachi, which is also connected to Mitsukoshimae Station.
It is located beside the entrance of Coredo Muromachi 2, so you can notice easily.
The restaurant is really famous among Japanese people.

One of the reason is because the restaurant is opened by Ninben, one of the leading katsuobushi(dried bonito) manufacturers with more than 300 years of history.
Japanese food usually includes dashi(broth that is made from katsuobushi, kombu(dried kelp), dried anchovy and more).
You can taste savory cuisine using Ninben’s ingredient. Not only the taste, you will also be impressed by their beautiful tableware and the way of food being presented.

Information on April Term Admissions 2018

Tokyo Galaxy Japanese School accepts applications for the 2018 April (long-term) courses and preparatory course.

Due to our excellent curriculum, and successful performance in academic and professional setting, our application dates close early every semester. Hence, when the application line close, we are unfortunately unable to accept further applicants. Because our school aims for the diverse mix of students, our application acceptance will be based on nationality. We hope for students’ and parents’ understanding on this matter.

Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School

As a result, we advise that applicants apply early to avoid disappointment. Tokyo Galaxy Japanese School has been established under the Japanese School Educational Act (Legislation No. 26) Article 83(2) and has been selected by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, aiming towards a school that is staffed by diligent and trustworthy educators for the students’ educational rights and their right to learn.

  • Intake: 25 (applicants)
  • Paper applications: November 10th 2017 (Friday) – applications must arrive at our School’s office no later than this date

Guide to Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School’s Special Preparatory Class Schedule for College Admission

For students who are aiming to attend university in Japan, Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School introduces the schedule of Special Preparatory Class for College Admission. Many students who plan to apply for university enter into Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School in January. Or some students start studying in Tokyo Galaxy Japanese Language School before January and have proficient Japanese level of JLPT N3~N2. Let’s check how students will prepare for admission of university in Japan from January to March next year.

Japan University and college Tour

♥ January ~ March Winter Semester
1. Improve insufficient skills such as writing, kanji, listening, speaking and more (For students who studied in their country, it is hard to build 4 skills equally.)
2. Study Japanese, general subjects, math, science for EJU
(EJU : Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students)
3. Participate in seminar to learn most up to date information from our alumni who recently got accepted to universities in Japan
4. Students who want to enroll in the Special Preparatory Class for College Admission must take a writing test and an interview in late February.

♥ April ~ June Spring Semester
1. The subjects of the entrance examination such as essay, interview, EJU preparation will be started in earnest as the Special Preparatory Class for College Admission begins
2. Teacher who will give educational guidance will be designated

Escorted by admission official and have lunch with Tokyo Galaxy alumni at the cafeteria
